IBF High-Performance Coach Neil Booth has just completed a fantastic 52 club charity funding event for Mental Health charities. Please see below a thank you letter from Neil to all the clubs he visited.
Re: 52 Club Challenge for Mental Health Charities
Now that the dust is settling on my 52 Club Challenge, I would like to sincerely thank you and your club for the generosity and hospitality I was shown on my trip around Ireland.
What a fantastic couple of weeks it turned out to be. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would raise £16,000. Mindwise and Pieta House will be delighted to be receiving 50% each of this total and it will go a long way to help with the important work they currently do, and hope to continue to do, well into the future.
As I said many times on my trip, the main reason for doing this was to raise awareness for Mental Health and it is important that we do not stop at the end of this venture.
In order to leave a legacy for this I would like to create something that we can repeat every year and I will be working with a small group of people to see what we can come up with. It will not be a 2-week marathon, but it will be something that hopefully all clubs can buy into.
In the meantime, keep safe until this pandemic is over and I look forward to seeing you all in 2021 when hopefully we will get back to something approaching normality.
